Cozy Home Performance is proud to be beginning a project for a new Massachusetts utility sponsored energy retrofit program; the Low Income Multi Family energy retrofit program. We are grateful to be working in a State and region where an often forgotten sector can be supported by utility companies and receive top-notch project management services by an experienced CAP agency, and advanced retrofit services of Cozy Home Performance.
the LEAN MF program is available for low income multi-family properties owned by public housing authorities and non-profit organizations.
A description of the goals for achieving cost-effective energy efficiency improvements from the LEAN MF website:
The program will provide grant funds for cost-effective energy efficiency work that may include: replacement or repair of heating systems and/or controls, replacement or repair of hot water heating systems, building envelope upgrades through air sealing and insulation, lighting upgrades, appliance upgrades, and ventilation upgrades. Where an owner is planning a renovation, the energy efficiency work will be limited to cost-effective activities associated with the renovation work. In some cases, a copayment may be required.
