Shelburne Falls, MA

Perched on a hill, in the ‘village’, this early 1900s house has some clear opportunities for improved energy efficiency and home performance. The owners just moved in. We are working closely with them to achieve maximum Mass Save incentives for program eligible improvement measures.

The project will begin with comprehensive air sealing in the attic flat.

Sometimes with this much clutter and the presence of knob and tube wiring, it is more practical to insulate the rafter slopes.
As leveraging all Mass Save incentives is a main goal, this approach is not an option.

The basement sill band will require spray foam to properly insulate. This perimter is a major air leakage point.
